Steven Widman has served as a Ministry Assistant at Faith since July 2024, and in his role, he serves primarily in ministry to students. Prior to his current position, Steven interned at FEFC, serving in many different ways in our ministry as he was discipled by members of our pastoral staff.

Having grown up just across the river in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Steven has been part of the Grand Forks community for most of his life. He worked in his family’s business, Widman’s Candy Store, during high school and for a few years after with his dad and brother. Steven is currently part of a fulltime program at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary that will allow him to receive both a bachelor of arts degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity in five years.

Steven and his wife BreighAnna met in high school and began dating after graduation. They have now been married for four years, and they recently welcomed a daughter. The Widmans enjoy watching TV shows and movies and playing games together. Steven also enjoys playing basketball and spending time outside with his dog.

Why should someone come and worship at Faith Evangelical Free Church?

“People should worship at Faith Evangelical Free Church because of the Biblical preaching and worship. There is a unique and faithful reliance upon the authority and sufficiency of Scripture in everything done at FEFC. The goal of all of our worship is to follow what Paul commands in Colossians 3:16-17 where he writes, ‘Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’”
